Denver Sports

Denver is one of 13 U.S. cities with a team in each of the four major North American sports league. Furthermore, Denver is one of four sports towns to have all its teams play within the city limits. The Broncos of the National Football League play at Invesco Field at Mile High. Major League Baseball's Rockies play ball at the homer-friendly Coors Field. The Pepsi Center is home to both the National Hockey League's Avalanche and the National Basketball Association's Nuggets.

The city also has a team playing in Major League Soccer. The Colorado Rapids represent the Denver-area while playing in nearby Commerce City at the soccer-specific Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Other professional teams in Denver include the Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League and the Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse. They play at the Pepsi Center and Invesco Field respectively. The Dynamite are part of the newly formed Professional Arena Soccer League and they play at the Denver Bladium.

The University of Denver is a NCAA Division-I school without a football program. Ice hockey is the college's main sport. The UD hockey team plays at Magness Arena located on the university's campus. The school's other main sport is skiing. The Pioneers have won 20 NCAA titles on the slopes.
